Published: 12/10/2016 4:41:00 PM

Sunday 29th October, 2016 will see an unprecedented 14 teams of ESFA Over 30s women play five a side football at Heffron Synthetic for the Louise Mazzaroli Cup.

With teams from Queens Park, Mascot, Pagewood, Maroubra, Dunbar, South East Eagles, Coogee and Waverley all raising funds for charity, breast cancer awareness and in the name of women in football!

Louise is a life member of ESFA and was known for her investment in womens football, having played for clubs within ESFA including Queens Park and Maroubra United with managing Maroubra United AAW4 in her final season. Louise was also an active member of the ESFA Referees Branch where her mentoring of young referees was highly regarded.

Louise sadly lost her life to breast cancer in November, 2011 at the age of 62 and the women of the ESFA football family miss her.

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, we would wish to remind all women of ESFA, the importance of early screening. Breast Screen NSW are offering all women over 40 free breast screening.

20 minutes could just save your life.
